CALIFORNIA JEWELERS ASSOCIATION CELEBRATED 75TH ANNIVERSARY AND
NAMED ALLEN KESSLER 2008 RECIPIENT OF ROBERT B. WESTOVER AWARD

LOS ANGELES, CA — (Sept. 22, 2008) — Allen Kessler, founder of Kessler Jewelers in Burbank, California, was selected as the 2008 recipient of the Robert B. Westover Distinguished Service Award by the California Jewelers Association (CJA).  The CJA celebrated its 75th Anniversary and presented the coveted award at the California Jewelers Association’s Black & Diamond Gala Dinner that was held in his honor on August 17, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel during the West Coast Jewelry Show.

“I am happy to report that over 100 people attended the CJA’s elegant Black Tie event in August,” said CJA Executive Director and CEO Rossana Aguilar.  “The Robert B. Westover Award and Lapel Pin Presentation to Allen Kessler, founder of Kessler Jewelers in Burbank, was a touching tribute and one of the highlights of the evening.”

Additionally, CJA celebrated its 75th Birthday in style with a magnificent 75th Anniversary Cake, and all those who attended sang “Happy Birthday” to the CJA!  Guests were treated to live music presented by the Jesse Moreira Trio featuring vocalist Audra Blackner.  Entertainment was provided by Actor/Comedian Kevin Pollak.
